Why this motto?
Because many bloggers out there, even some professional A-list bloggers out there are starting to promote the insane idea that marketing is king but content is not king. Sorry, I disagree.
Content is still king
if content weren’t king, then the web wouldn’t need to exist and we wouldn’t need to be on it. Think about it, if you weren’t on the web to search for information, what good would the web be?
Sure you shop on the web sometimes, but most of the time you don’t though…and that’s most of the people too. 80-20 rule applies…80% of the time is not spent shopping and instead gathering information. 80% of the people are not shoppers.
Otherwise the Internet becomes one big glorified kiosk or shopping portal!
Sure the marketers would love for you to believe this…
Why? Because they just want to make money. Well, without content, the web is nothing. There is PLENTY of content on the web though, and I don’t think anyone can deny that content is king. Always has been, always will be. Don’t let anyone fool you.
